About DataPoint Football
Who Are We?
DataPoint Football is the working name of our algorithm based predictive sports modeling company that has been providing free college and pro football side selections since 2020.
What Do We Do?
We offer multiple independent algorithm based models designed to provide an analytical approach to betting college and professional football. We release our picks for FREE every Thursday or Friday during the football season.
The models were created by a former investment banker as a hobby. For each of the last eight years, the models have been enhanced by additional data and more sophisticated computer programming.
NCAAF Model
The 2026-27 season will be the seventh year we have operated this website.
After each season, I re-evaluate the models used and make improvements as needed. This years tweaks involve having a total of four separate models. I will have 2 tiers of bets this year. Tier 1 bets (i expect 1-3 per week) are our most exclusive filtered picks ever (requiring 3 independent model concurrence and AI/power index agreement) and have a 7-year historical win rate of over 70%. Tier 2 bets will be much more plentiful (15-25 per week) with official PICKS needing a minimum of 2 of the models supporting the same side/threshold. The 7-year historical win rate is 60% I will once again provide BONUS category picks (mostly for fun) that is just created for situations when your watching a game and want to get a bet down. These picks don't meet the minimum threshold for picks, but do favor one team over the other through a majority of my models and have historically provided a slight advantage over non-statistic based selections.
I have a slightly different betting methodology than others in the business. I believe models can be predictive over an extended period, but individual games are always going to be subject to unexpected special teams plays, turnover, bad calls etc. As a result, i recommend playing all of my picks and managing your bankroll.
